About Me

My room is a special place that I can always escape the outside world and concentrate on other important things in my life. When I ever-so-slightly twist my cool to touch brass circular door knob that is adjoined to my delicately wood-stained door I open a passage to a completely different atmosphere. This atmosphere provides a sense of comfort and stability.

The smell of warm vanilla sugar spreads through my nose from the Bath and Body Works plug-in located in the outlet beside my bed. One of the first items that is noticeable after walking into my room, is the carpet made from various jeans. Next, are the three symmetrical hand-textured white walls that are accented with picture frames. Polaroids of various dance, family, and friend photos are arranged in a collage and enclosed in an enormous wooden white-washed frame. When I look at my pictures, I am reminded of all the wonderful times.

A massive vanity mirror engulfs the northern wall in my room. It provides a truthful but not always pleasant appearance. On the eastern wall in my room is a master switch that provides the power to illuminate my mass of tiny flowers that encompass my four post bed frame. My mood lighting is ethereal. The last piece in my room that makes it so special is the big walk- in closet. With its clothes neatly racked, purses hung on hooks, and endless shoe towers in a a kaleidoscope of box colors all about. It is my private sanctuary, calm, peaceful, and all for me. I enjoy spending countless hours in this room completing assignments, reading and viewing reviews, or just simply relaxing. As you walk into my private retreat you see it all: my alluring bed with its throw pillows made from jean buttons and pockets, my spacious yet cluttered dresser top strewn with treasured knick-knacks, a comfortable custom end of bed bench made from jeans to match my carpet, and the parisian mannequin torso dress form laden with clothes.
You're probably wondering why the obsession with my room! Truth be told it wasn't by choice to be isolated but rather because of medical conditions that surfaced spring 2016. Flash forward a year later, I have learned to take myself serious enough to care about what I actually place on and into my being. My blog topic is very special to me because I can only use certain products being that I am allergic to just about everything! I have eczema and severe allergies to anything that breaks down into latex properties. It has taken years to decipher what is beneficial for the care and keeping of my body. Extensive research on each product has been reviewed by way of physicians, YouTube, articles, and sales associates, before I even attempt to purchase and utilize. Each week in this blog, you will have personal insight to my favorite products that have performed effectively. Let's have a little fun and Live Like Larue!
