Background Information:
Dry shampoo is the beauty product I can't help but have a love-hate relationship with: It works wonders at getting grease and grime out of my hair, while also giving my fine roots a solid injection of volume. But, it can impart my strands with a chalky finish and a piecey, stiff feel. Luckily, Bumble and bumble, the brilliant minds behind the OG Surf Spray that spawned a million salty copycats, have just solved a common dry cleansing problem with the introduction of their newest dry shampoo, Pret-a-powder Tres Invisible Dry Shampoo.
Details:
It is available in formulations for both oilier and drier hair types, the new Bumble and bumble dry shampoo literally solves all of the issues while also leaving strands either softer and more manageable or voluminized, depending on which bottle you reach for. As someone with seriously heavy strands, the Pret-a-powder Tres (Nourishing) Invisible Dry Shampoo is just perfect, with its hydrating Hibiscus extract. It cleanses strands seamlessly while adding a light, fresh scent.
What it Is:
An invisible, two-in-one style extender to cleanse roots and nourish ends.
Benefits:
- Extends styles
- Absorbs oils and nourishes roots
- Protects against the drying effects of the sun
- Not tested on animals
It is formulated with Hibiscus extract, and absorbs oil at the root, while nourishing dry ends. Strands are left lightly scented, with no trace of white residue. UV filters help protect against the drying effects of the sun.
Who it's For:
- Straight
- Wavy
- Curly
- Coiled
- Tightly coiled
- Sephora
- Ulta
- Bumble and bumble
How to Use:
Shake well, hold can 10-12 inches away from dry hair, and apply. Use fingers or a brush to distribute from roots to ends, for a lightly scented, (seemingly) just-washed finish with zero residue.
Ingredients:
Butane, Alcohol Denat,. Dimethylimidazolidinone Rice Starch, Isobutane, Dimethicone, Trisiloxane, Cetrimonium Chloride, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Amp-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, Diisopropyl Adipate, Panthenol, Polyquaternium-59, Glycerin, Water/Aqua/Eau, C11-15 Pareth-7, C12-16 Pareth-9, Trideceth-12, Silicone Quaternium-16, Undeceth-11, Undeceth-5, Butyloctanol, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Fragrance, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronellol, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Phenoxyethanol.
About the Brand:
Bumble and bumble began as a New York salon in 1977, where they clipped, colored, and styled their way into prominence with a legendary editorial team, strong design ethic, and a line of extraordinary products. Created by stylists to give hairdressers and clients what they couldn't find elsewhere, their high-performance products were made to be mixed and layered for a broad range of effects that would stand up to the demands of photo studios and fashion shows.
My Personal Opinion:
For starters I think the scent of this product is great and it doesn't bother me at all. I also feel like this truly nourished my hair from root to tip. When I received this product in the mail I used it immediately because my hair desperately needed it. This is going to sound disgusting but when this product arrived in the mail I hadn't washed my hair in four days and I thought that could not be a more perfect time to test whether it would help with oil and refresh my hair like regular shampoo. I have very thick hair so it tends to get a little oily if I go a couple days without washing so it was the perfect time to use it. It actually soaked up all my oils and refreshed and nourished my hair to the point that I could go one more day without washing my hair but appeared that I washed it! That is pretty amazing. My hair looked and also felt healthy and not sticky which is the really amazing part. Usually dry shampoos seem to leave a mask in my hair that makes it clump up in sections and look a weird color but this was not the case. I am so happy I had the chance to try this product out and I have definitely repurchased this a couple of times. ♡♡♡

I have always wanted to try dry shampoo, but there are so many to choose from that I just don't know which to go with! Also, I love how you said "salty copycats." I thought that was funny.

ReplyDeleteI have tried numerous dry shampoos and none have worked for me the way that this one works for you. For someone who hardly even has time to breathe, dry shampoo has become one of my hair care essentials.
